Communards' Wall
The Communards' Wall (French Mur des FÃÂédÃÂérÃÂés) is a memorial in the PÃÂère Lachaise cemetery, in Paris, France.
Against this wall, 147 communards, the leaders of the Paris Commune were shot on May 28 1871 after the fall of the commune.
The location is a favorite point of rally of France's Communists, be them Trotskyites or from the French Communist Party. Many Communist leaders, especially those involved in the French resistance, are interred nearby.
