Chartered engineer, a professional qualification in Engineering in the UK (not a degree). Many European countries have similar qualifications which are considered, under European law, to be equivalent. The title of Chartered Engineer is granted by the Engineering Council through its nominated bodies.

A chartered engineer is allowed to use the post-nominal letters CEng.
