Chamber of Deputies

The Chamber of Deputies is the name given to the lower house of the bicameral legislatures of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Italy, Paraguay and Romania and to the unicameral parliament of Luxembourg.

Historically, Chamber of Deputies was the title for the lower house of parliament in the French Third Republic. It was also the official description of Dáil Éireann (the Irish lower house of parliament) during the Irish Free State.

Other names for a lower house include House of Commons, House of Representatives, National Assembly.
