Catechism of the Catholic Church

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (often abbreviated as the CCC) is an authoritative exposition of the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, published in Latin in 1994, and since then translated into many languages.
The CCC contains a summary of various Church doctrines which are particularly useful to members of The Church. The CCC is amply provided with footnotes referring to biblical and doctrinal passages which support the contents of the section at hand. The doctrine of the Catholic Church and the writings within the Catechism are considered part of the Magisterium.
