Caspar Weinberger

Caspar W. Weinberger (b. August 18, 1917) was the United States Secretary of Defense from 1982 through 1987 under President Ronald Reagan. Weinberger was indicted on several felony charges of lying to the FBI stemming from the investigations into the Iran-Contra Affair. Weinberger received a presidential pardon from President George H.W. Bush on January 20, 1993.

Prior to serving as the Secretary of Defense, Weinberger was Vice President, Director, and General Counsel of the Bechtel Corporation.
