Bwiti

Bwiti is a religious ceremony performed specifically in Gabon and Cameroon. It is based on the use of the halucinigenic root of the plant iboga. It involves the use of iboga to go through spiritual enlightenment and to solve problems of a spiritual nature. The active ingredient of the root is ibogaine and has been studied scientifically.
