Bructeri

The Bructeri, an ancient Germanic tribe whose people were located in northwestern Germany (Soester Boerde), south of the Teutoberg Forest, in present-day Rhineland-Westphalia around 100 BC through 350 AD. Later absorbed into the larger Frankish community, and reportedly allies with Cherusci and others in defeating the Roman General, Varus at Teutoberg in 9 AD. Best place to find archival documents and history of the tribe is Soest, Germany.
