Brooks Robinson (b. May 18, 1937) is an American baseball player. Robinson was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. He grew up to play third base for the Baltimore Orioles, and gained great renown for his fielding ability; his nickname was "The Human Vacuum Cleaner". He received the American League's Most Valuable Player award. He played in the World Series in 1970, receiving the World Series MVP and the Hickok Belt as top professional athlete of the year as well. Robinson was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983.
