Braces

For people who check facts
Braces are devices fitted to the teeth to straighten them.
Braces (in British English) are straps for holding up trousers (in US English: "suspenders" for holding up "pants"). Typically worn by older males, whose waistline is no longer suitable for the use of a belt.

Leg braces are devices used to keep weak, diseased legs from breaking. Polio left many children needing such devices.

Braces are also an alternative name for the "{" and "}" symbols. See Bracket.
