Bobby Knight

Robert Montgomery Knight (b. October 25, 1940) has been one of the most gifted and dedicated coaches in the history of college basketball. He has also been known to be an abusive, bullying man. After a series of altercations and controversies, he was fired in 2000 from Indiana University at Bloomington, where he had been not only a revered coach but something of a folk hero for 29 years.

He started out coaching at West Point, where he coached Mike Krzyzewski, who now coaches the Duke Blue Devils. After his 29-year stint at Indiana, he is currently the head basketball coach at Texas Tech University.
