Beverly McLachlin
The Right Honourable Chief Justice Beverly McLachlin, P.C., B.A. (Bachelor of Arts), M.A. (philosophy), LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws), born in Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada on September 7, 1943.
She was appointed Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada on January 7, 2000, the first woman to hold that position in Canada.
