Berneray, North Uist, Scotland
Berneray (Scottish Gaelic: Bhearnaraigh) is an island in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, north of North Uist. It should not be confused with Great Bernera, near Lewis.The island is linked to Otternish on North Uist by a causeway and it has a population of less than 150 people. It is known as the birthplace of the giant Angus MacAskill and for its sandy beaches backed with sand dunes.
