The Battle of Philippi was the first major land battle of the American Civil War occurred at Philippi, West Virginia. It can be found at the Battle of Philippi Races.

The Battle of Philippi was also the site of the final battle between the forces of Mark Antony and Octavian against the forces of Julius Caesar's assassins Marcus Junius Brutus and Gaius Cassius Longinus in 42 BC, Philippi, in Macedonia.
