Batch production

Batch production is a method used to produce or process any product in groups that can be called batches, as opposed to a continuous production process. For example baked goods such as cakes are typically produced in batches, while oil refineries may use continuous processes that do not involve grouping of the product. An example of a material that may be produced in either a batch or a continuous process is Titanium metal.
