Barton-under-Needwood is a large village in Staffordshire. It is situated a mile off the A38 between Burton-upon-Trent and Lichfield. It has a population of about 5000 people, most of whom commute to Burton-on-Trent or Lichfield to work.

There are a few shops, an infant and junior school, and a large secondary school called John Taylor High School which serves the surrounding villages as well as Barton itself
