Bart Berman
Bart Berman (born in Rotterdam, December 29, 1938) is an internationally active concert pianist, best known as an interpreter of Franz Schubert and contemporary music. As a soloist, he was awarded the first prize in the Gaudeamus Competition for interpreters of contemporary music and received the Friends of the Concertgebouw Award.Bart Berman has composed many original works, cadenzas to all piano concerti by Mozart, Brahms and Beethoven, completions of unfinished compositions (notably Schubert's piano sonatas and J.S. Bach's Art of Fugue) and second hand or piano parts to be played alongside original compositions by J.S. Bach, Muzio Clementi and Daniel Steibelt.
