Banffshire is a small traditional county in the north of Scotland. The traditional county town is Banff. It borders the Moray Firth to the north, Morayshire and Inverness-shire to the west, and Aberdeenshire to the south. An exclave of the county is locally situated in Aberdeenshire, around the town of St. Fergus. The area the county covers is currently split for administrative purposes between Moray council and Aberdeenshire council.

Banffshire is currently used as a registration county for property, and a Lieutenancy Area.
