Arabia

Arabia is a peninsula in Southwest Asia at the junction of Africa and Asia, east of Ethiopia and northern Somalia, south of Israel and the disputed Palestinian territories, and Jordan, and southwest of Iran.

It is bounded on the southwest by the Red Sea and Gulf of Aqaba, on the southeast by the Arabian Sea, and on the northeast by the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf. It includes Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.

The peninsula has sometimes been called the Middle East, but that term usually refers to the Arabian Peninsula, the Levant, and Mesopotamia. The term "Arabia" is often used to mean Saudi Arabia alone.

Saudi Arabia is by far the largest country. Most people live in Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
