Anna and the King of Siam is a play and movie. Based on the diaries of Anna Leonowens, a British governess in the Royal Court of Siam now modern Thailand, mainly concerning the culture clash of the Imperialist Victorian values of the British Empire and the auto-cratic rule of Siam's King, the successful play, and later film starred Rex Harrison.

It was turned into an Academy Award winning musical film entitled The King and I.

Jodie Foster remade the original film in 1999 as Anna and the King
