Alaskan Independence Party

Sponsorship the way you would do it
The Alaskan Independence Party is a political party in the U.S. state of Alaska. Its most well-known plank is its call for a vote on secession, which they claim was not offered as an option in the plebiscite on statehood. It is also calls for increased Alaskan control of Alaskan land, gun rights, privatization, and an end to environmental regulation.

In 1990, Walter Joseph Hickel, a former Republican, won the election for Governor of Alaska as a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, although for the most part he ignored the platform of the party once in office.
