Agreement

The term agreement has a variety of meanings.

• It may be used to acknowledge the existence of a legally binding contract that can be enforceable in a court of law.
• It may also refer to an understanding between individual to follow a specific course of conduct such as an agreement to commit a crime i.e. a conspiracy.
• When people are in agreement their opinions are similar, thus, perhaps preventing them from exercising a neutral point of view because they are unaware of any conflicting views. See also the entry on consensus which discusses when a group of individuals attempt to act with a common understanding or in agreement.
