Ad Daqahliyah is an Egyptian province lying northeast of Cairo in Egypt. Its area is about 6000 km² and it has a popuation of about 5 million. The capital of Ad Daqahliyah is al-Mansurah and the other major towns are Mit Ghamr, Bilqas, and Manzalah. This province is famous for producing some of the most acclaimed Egyptians in the fields of science, engineering, medicine and the arts. The nephrology and kidney center of Mansurah is considered the best kidney center in the Middle East and Africa.
