Abadan

Abadan (آبادان in Persian) is a city in Iran, located on Abadan Island. By 1938, Abadan was home to the largest oil refinery in the world. It remains a vast facility for refining oil. It was the first oil refinery built be the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (1913).
